McDonough Associates was originally established as Murphy Engineering in 1966, specifically to design airside and landside facilities for the expansion of Chicago’s metropolitan airports. From those deep aviation roots, McDonough and its staff have grown to be continuously involved in the development, construction and operation of Chicago’s airports; among the worlds busiest.
Specific airport design experience includes new runway design, runway rehabilitation, new taxiway deisgn, taxiway realignment, hold apron design, blast wall design, airfield drainage design, airfied lighting, airport power distribution equipment design, airport roadway design, airport parking lot and parking structure design.
