2011 Volunteer Event & Company Picnic
This year’s Annual Volunteer Event and Company picnic was held on Saturday June, 11, 2011. The Forest Preserve District of Cook County’s Little Red Schoolhouse Nature Center was the location for the volunteer activity this year. MAI staff worked on the cleanup and stabilization of the White Oak Trail to repair erosion caused by recent rain events. Rock filled trenches were installed along the trail to manage rainwater flow and prevent future erosion. A company picnic followed at the Red Gate Woods picnic grove where staff was joined by their families and coworkers to enjoy a barbeque and relax after their hard work.
MAI would like to thank everyone who came out to volunteer your time for this event. Giving back to our community is an important part of what we do, and we appreciate your participation.
Thanks for another successful year!
